Just to let you know that Old Harveian Garry Ratcliffe will feature on BBC’s DIY SOS this evening. Garry attended The Harvey from 1984 to 1991. He is a primary school headteacher in Dartford. Garry and his partner live on the Isle of Sheppey and care for four youngsters with highly complex needs.
 
The programme is on BBC1 at 8.55.

Gurkha Concert 25 March

The Gurkha Concert was a great night with a wide selection of music, singing from a band member and also from opera singer Judith Colman and two dances by the Gurkhas including the famous Kukhri dance. Proceeds from the evening were split between the Gurkha Welfare Trust and the OHA for the benefit of the school.

The Gurkha Concert….

Not long now until the Gurkha Concert at the school and there are still some tickets available. 25 March at 7.30pm in the school hall. A regular part of their performance is the Kukri dance with their famous knives and it is hoped to include this on the night (space permitting). The Gurkha pipers may also make an appearance (to be confirmed). The concert is open to the public as well as old Harveians, Gurkhas and their families
